The Week 11 Power of Veto competition on Saturday (September 8) will be the first to be held since we learned of a new twist in #BB20, the double eviction. This change in the game will play out on the upcoming live episode on September 13. Keep reading for all the spoilers, including how speculation among the houseguests about the return of this wrinkle impacted Friday’s nomination evictions by Week 11 Head of Household Kaycee Clark and Saturday’s Power of Veto competition.
In her first stint as HOH, Kaycee named Haleigh Broucher and Sam Bledsoe for possible eviction on Thursday. Haleigh is a 21-year-old student from Texas and she has been on the chopping block for the past two weeks. She survived votes which overwhelmingly went against her rivals in Week 9 (Faysal Shafaat) and Week 10 (Scottie Salton).
Sam, a 27-year-old welder from Virginia, was the only houseguest to vote for the eviction of Haleigh in Week 9. There has been tension between these two for weeks, stemming from the decision by Sam, as Week 4 HOH, to nominate Haleigh for eviction.
Sam has been told by Kaycee that she is merely a pawn this week and the target for elimination is Haleigh, who is the sole remaining member of the Hive still in the house. To that end, Haleigh will have to rely on herself if she wants to be removed from the eviction line-up. She and Sam are pitted against each other in the POV competition that will take place on Saturday afternoon. Neither has ever won this power before.
Compare that to the track of Kaycee, who will compete as reigning HOH. She has prevailed in the POV for the last two weeks running, but did not choose to invoke it either time. The other three players for the POV will be drawn from the remaining houseguests: Tyler Crispen, JC Mounduix, Brett Robinson and Angela Rummans.
Tyler won the POV in Week 2 and rescued Scottie and again in Week 5 when he left the line-up alone and in Week 7 when he saved Angela. She had won in Week 6 and saved Tyler. Brett did so in Week 8 and removed himself from the line-up.
UPDATE: Tyler, Brett and Angela are the other three competitors for the POV while JC will host.
