‘Big Brother’ host Julie Chen breaks silence on husband Les Moonves’ firing with these 4 perfect words

“I’m Julie Chen Moonves.”

With those four perfect words at the end of Thursday’s live episode of “Big Brother,” Chen finally broke her silence on the scandal involving her husband Les Moonves being fired as CBS’s chairman and CEO. Chen has been MIA this week during her day job on “The Talk,” saying in a statement that she was spending time with family. By calling herself Julie Chen Moonves on live TV, the host was essentially letting the world know that she’s sticking by her man.

On Sunday, Moonves was fired from his long-running position at CBS after new allegations surfaced of inappropriate behavior, including assault and sexual misconduct. After his ouster CBS announced they would be donating $20 million to charities and organizations that benefit the #MeToo movement.

Chen showed no signs of slowing down as she hosted the first Double Eviction episode of “Big Brother” Season 20. Thursday’s hour began with 21-year-old college student Haleigh Broucher being evicted after sitting on the block three weeks in a row. “I did a great job of putting [a target on me] to begin with,” Haleigh told Chen after they exchanged compliments with each other.

Tyler Crispen then won Head of Household and nominated Sam Bledsoe and JC Mounduix for eviction. But it was all for show as his real target was his BFF Brett Robinson. After Angela Rummans won the Veto competition, Tyler backdoored Brett and he was evicted unanimously by his former Level 6 allies.
