While last week’s Head of Household competition was completed during the live show, this week’s didn’t begin until almost the end of the “Big Brother” episode on August 16. This endurance event marked the return of the ever-popular Slip and Slide. In the past, it has gone on for upwards of an hour. This year it lasted less than half that time. We’ve been watching the live feeds and can reveal who won this abbreviated test of endurance. All of the houseguests took part except Haleigh Broucher, who was the Week 7 HOH and oversaw the eviction of Angie “Rockstar” Lantry.
Faysal Shafaat won and is the Week 8 Head of Household. This 26-year-old teacher from Orlando, Florida has been one of the most entertaining houseguests in #BB20. He is keen to play the game and form alliances. In his pre-entry interview, Faysal described himself as a joker, who could boast of being both hilarious and confident.
Back then, he explained his strategy for winning thus: “Finding a loyal person or two. Use my social game and let my physical gameplay show at the end more than beginning. And don’t let the other houseguests know I’m a powerhouse from Day 1.”
Before heading into the house, Faysal was aware that people can quickly turn on each other so he was wary of trusting anyone. But he was determined to enjoy his time, be it long or short, playing the game. Indeed, his motto is “Everybody dies but not everybody lives. Live every day like it’s your last.”
