Billboard Hot 100: ‘God’s Plan’ is for Drake to spend a 4th week on top and to debut yet another song in the top 10

For yet another week on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart the top five are frozen in place. Drake holds onto the top spot for the fourth week in a row with “God’s Plan,” followed by Ed Sheeran‘s “Perfect” at number-two, Bruno Mars and Cardi B‘s “Finesse” at number-three, Camila Cabello and Young Thug‘s “Havana” at number-four and Post Malone and 21 Savage‘s “Rockstar” at number-five. And a new music video for “God’s Plan” (watch below) could further strengthen its hold on number-one next week too.

But that’s not the only good news for Drake in the top-10. The Canadian rapper also debuts a second song on the chart this week, bowing at number-six as a featured artist on “Look Alive” by BlocBoy JB. It’s the first ever top-10 for BlocBoy, but it’s the 23rd for Drake.

Beyond that two other songs in the top-10 reach new heights. Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line rise two spots to number-seven with “Meant to Be.” That ties the all-time high for Rexha, who previously hit that mark with “Me, Myself and I” (2015). And it’s the second highest mark for Florida Georgia Line, who peaked at number-four with their breakthrough hit “Cruise” (2012).

Meanwhile, with “Black Panther” setting box office records in theaters, Kendrick Lamar gets a new top-10 single from its soundtrack for the second week in a row. Last week “Pray for Me” with The Weeknd debuted at number-seven. Though that song drops out of the top-10 this week it’s replaced by Lamar’s “All the Stars” with SZA, which leaps 22 spots to number-9.

Will the “Black Panther” singles continue to put pressure on the top-10 next week, or will Drake hold them off?
