Brynn Cartelli (‘The Voice’) on her historic win Tuesday and friendship with Kelly Clarkson [EXCLUSIVE VIDEO INTERVIEW]

“I was really nervous,” confesses Season 14 winner of “The Voice”, Brynn Cartelli, thinking about the final moments before host Carson Daly announced she had won the title Tuesday night. “Whatever happened, I was just grateful to be there. Britton (Buchanan) deserved [to win] and I thought I deserved it too. I’m really excited for what my future holds.” Watch our exclusive video interview with the newly crowned champion from Team Kelly Clarkson above.

At just 15 years old, Brynn has become the youngest winner of “The Voice” ever. Before that, she had already made history as the first artist to join Team Kelly for her debut season on the Emmy-winning hit show. Despite Brynn being star-struck by the “Since U Been Gone” singer when they first met, the mentor and pupil quickly formed a tight bond.

“I’ve been a crazy fan of Kelly since I was little,” Brynn admits. “My parents were obsessed with her when she was on ‘American Idol’ and they always rooted for her. Now we’re all friends and it’s super cool!” Brynn credits her coach for guiding her through the highs and lows of the season and teaching her the importance of making every performance special.

Over the course of the season Brynn delivered 12 performances on her path to victory:

Brynn Cartelli (Team Kelly) — “Beneath Your Beautiful” (blind), “Ready for It?” (battle), “Here Comes Goodbye” (knockout), “Unstoppable” (playoff), “At Last” (top 20), “Up to the Mountain” (top 12), “You and I” (top 11), “Fix You” (top 10), “What the World Needs Now Is Love” (top 8), “Don’t Dream It’s Over” (final four), “Walk My Way” (final four), “Skyfall” (final four).

And if you don’t think the artists are tracking your predictions on Gold Derby, Brynn can tell you otherwise. “I remember seeing the predictions during the Knockouts. It was really cool to see [people predicting me]!”
