‘Celebrity Big Brother’: When does it start, who is in the cast, which star will win?

The first celebrity edition of the “Big Brother” franchise begins airing on CBS on Wednesday, Feb. 7. That one-hour premiere hosted by Julie Chen will be followed by another hour-long episode the next night. On Friday, Feb. 9, CBS will air a special two-hour episode opposite NBC’s opening ceremonies of the Winter Olympics from Pyeongchang, South Korea. The finale is slated for Sunday, Feb. 25 against the closing ceremonies. The Tiffany network will air a total of 18 hours of “Celebrity Big Brother” over 13 nights as detailed below.

Leading the cast is Omarosa, a one-time player on “The Apprentice,” who parlayed her subsequent friendship with Donald Trump into a job in the White House. She exited the administration in early January and has already attracted unwanted attention for making this return to reality TV.

The rest of the roster is rounded out by another reality TV star, Brandi Glanville of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” fame; three actresses [Shannon Elizabeth (“American Pie”), Keshia Knight Pulliam (“The Cosby Show”) and Marissa Jaret Winokur (“Hairspray”)]; two athletes [UFC mixed martial artist Chuck Liddell and NBA player Metta World Peace]; two singers [James Maslow of Big Time Rush and Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray]; TV personality Ross Mathews; and Miss Colombia 2014 Ariadna Gutierrez, who was mistakenly named Miss Universe by Steve Harvey.

This version will include all of the elements familiar to viewers from the “Big Brother” franchise, including the notorious live feeds that run 24/7 as well as competitions for both Head of Household and Power of Veto and live evictions.
