The first-ever USA edition of “Celebrity Big Brother” premiered Wednesday night and already fans are obsessing over every detail. After the 11 celeb houseguests introduced themselves to each other, a Head of Household competition took place in the backyard with “American Pie” actress Shannon Elizabeth claiming victory. However, soon after the HOH challenge was over host Julie Chen threw a potential wrinkle in Shannon’s crown by saying that a new Recast twist could shake up the entire game. Who did the HOH nominate for eviction and who won the Power of Veto competition?

7:59 p.m. – “Previously, on ‘Big Brother’!” After months of anticipation, CBS finally debuted the first season of “Celebrity Big Brother” and it was everything we hoped it would be. Besides Shannon, the other 10 houseguests in the running for this season’s ultimate prize are: reality TV villain Omarosa, Miss Colombia 2014 Ariadna Gutierrez, former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville, UFC mixed martial artist Chuck Liddell, Big Time Rush singer and actor James Maslow, former “The Cosby Show” actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, Broadway actress Marissa Jaret Winokur, singer and television host Mark McGrath, former NBA player Metta World Peace and television host Ross Mathews.
8:05 p.m. – Will the re-cast twist dethrone Shannon as HOH? I’m not sure how I feel about that. Let’s see how it plays out!
8:10 p.m. – The women are nervous that one of the men has the secret advantage, so they hope to hatch a plan to ensure a man goes home no matter what. Ross is more nervous than anyone, feeling the need to suck up to 10 people, mentioning “That’s a lot of sucking. Even for me.” Mark and Ross mentioned Shannon’s laser focus. They believe she is the one to beat. James has already noticed the women huddling together and appears to be on to their alliance. Time to find out how the twist works!
8:15 p.m. – The power to re-cast can only be used once. Once alerted it is time, players can go to the diary room and tell production they want to open their gift bag. If multiple people choose to do so, it will be decided by random draw at the nomination ceremony. Shannon and Marissa are convinced the men will target them if one of them wins the re-cast power. They decided every girl will request to open their gift bag, so they have the best chance of controlling the power. Meanwhile, Chuck and James are hatching a plan to bring one of the girls to their side. They don’t feel Meta will be a strong player, so they want to recruit Shannon over to their side. They developed a new alliance, #Celebrators. Lame! Mark is giving his two cents to Shannon, trying to make her believe he is too old to be a physical threat. Mark told her the biggest threats are James and Shannon. Bad idea to tell the HOH she’s the biggest threat. What an idiot! I better go change my prediction that he will win this game. Be right back.
8:20 p.m. – Shannon is hoping to bring Ross over to the women’s side so he can be a spy. Ross is thrilled with the idea. Shannon told Ross the seven-person alliance will start by picking up the four strong men: James, Meta, Chuck and Mark. Chuck and James are talking game in the gym with Meta. Meta looks totally confused and has no clue how this game works. Just keep lifting weights, Meta. Chuck decided he better not alienate himself for the women, so he goes to the diary room and let’s them give him a facial.
8:25 p.m. – Meta joined the party and let the girls paint his fingernails. Mark simply looked on because, let’s be honest, he probably just finished waxing his own eyebrows. The men then went down to the kitchen and decided they HAVE to open their gift bags or they are going to get run out of the house.
8:30 p.m. – “Girlfriend! Lock the door!” Time for Omarosa and Shannon to finally chat. Omarosa said she is loyal to a fault, and by showing her loyalty to a friend (Donald Trump) she lost a hundred other friends. Keshia told Omarosa that people on the outside just saw the hate of his campaign and the fact that Omarosa supported it. Omarosa said it was the same as Keshia continuing to support Bill Cosby. It was a good point, but Keshia looks seriously pissed! I love this potential rivalry.
8:35 p.m. – Chuck pretty much confessed to Shannon there is a four-man alliance. Man, these guys are toast! Moments later, Jason walked into Shannon’s room and blatantly lied about being in an alliance. Then he told Shannon she was his biggest threat. Wow! Now he’s her number one target. Poor thing, he is clueless.
8:42 p.m. – It is time for Meta to talk to Shannon. He has been in the house, what, two days? He already volunteered to be voted out because he misses his wife. Shannon doesn’t feel like wasting her time voting out such a weak player, but convinced him not to open his gift bag in the process. Omarosa is chatting with Ross on the patio. She confessed that when she was on “The Apprentice” she needed money so bad she would say and do about anything. Ross sees the toll it has taken on her. Omarosa burst into tears when talking about her time in the White House and is ashamed with her decision to work there. She felt it was a call to duty and she felt she was serving the country, not Trump. She was constantly haunted by his Tweets. She tried to stop him, but everyone blocked her access to the President. Ooo, this is so juicy! When asked what it is like in the White House, she simply said “It’s bad.” She added everyone should be worried about what is happening to our country. She would never vote for Trump again in a million years. Is she being serious or just playing Ross? Or here to earn sympathy from viewers so they buy her eventual book?
8:50 p.m. – Shannon is making promises to various men in the house to convince them not to open their gift bags. She told them Meta wants to go home, so she will put up him and a pawn. Keshia hatched a plan to punish anyone who breaks the deal by putting up Chuck and James. Time to see if anyone opens their gift bag!
8:55 p.m. – Chuck decided to go in for the gift bag so the girls and Ross lined up to get theirs. Shannon questioned Chuck about lying to her but he insisted he needed to take the risk. At the nomination ceremony, a random draw will determine who will open their bag at the nomination ceremony.
8:59 p.m. – At the nomination ceremony it was revealed that Keshia would be opening her gift bag. She pulled the re-cast power! Keshia is now responsible for nominating two houseguests for eviction. She nominated James and Chuck. Since the re-cast power has been used, the gift bag twist is over. That was fast!
