The next live eviction on “Celebrity Big Brother” is set for Friday (Feb. 21). At the conclusion of Wednesday’s episode, singer Mark McGrath, who is the fifth Head of Household, nominated two of the other six houseguests to face the rest of them in a vote overseen by host Julie Chen. Those facing possible eviction were beauty queen Ariadna Gutierrez , who had been the third HoH, and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Granville. Since then, there has been a Power of Veto competition. By watching the live feeds, we know who won the Round 5 PoV and what effect, if any, this had on the nominations for eviction. Spoilers ahead.
Gutierrez claimed victory in the Power of Veto competition for a second time. At the PoV ceremony, she took herself out of the running for eviction. That forced McGrath to come up with a replacement. He and his pal singer James Maslow had been busy strategizing the right move to make.
As they are determined to send Granville packing, they knew the couldn’t offer up a tempting alternative in the form of “The Apprentice” star Omarosa. To that end, they chose to send actress Marissa Janet Winokur to face a jury of her peers. They are convinced that her best buddy, TV personality Ross Mathews, will cast his vote for Granville. He was the only houseguest not to take part in the PoV competition.
