‘Celebrity Big Brother’ spoiler: Did Round 5 Power of Veto ceremony change nominees for eviction on February 23?

At the end of the February 21 episode of “Celebrity Big Brother,” the fifth Head of Household, singer Mark McGrath, decided on the two nominees for eviction on Friday’s live vote overseen by host Julie Chen. He went with beauty queen Ariadna Gutierrez , who had been the third HoH, and The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Granville. However, the live feeds have revealed a big change in the game. We now know who won the Round 5 Power of Veto competition and what effect, if any, this had on the nominations for eviction. Spoilers ahead.

Gutierrez won the Power of Veto competition for a second time. As she is going to remove herself as a nominee for eviction, McGrath must come up with a replacement. He and his pal singer James Maslow have been busy strategizing the right move to make.

They are determined to send Granville packing and realize that to do so, they can’t offer up a tempting alternative in “The Apprentice” star Omarosa. To that end, they are likely to send actress Marissa Janet Winokur to face a jury of her peers. They are convinced that her best buddy, TV personality Ross Mathews, will cast his vote for Granville. He was the only houseguest not to take part in the PoV competition.
