Witney Carson knows what the people want, and she’s going to give it to us. Because “Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” is just four weeks long and because she’s partnered with a stone-cold hottie, Chris Mazdzer, the pro says Mazdzer will luge lose his shirt in a routine sooner rather than later. (Gotta get those votes, ya know?)
“We may or may not be doing it the first dance,” she teases to “Entertainment Tonight.” “You’ll have to watch.”
Luckily, the Olympic silver medalist is pretty comfortable going shirtless already.
One thing he’s not comfortable with yet? Probably the most important thing: dancing. The luger, whose go-to dance is a fist pump, confesses that he’s “not the greatest of dancers.”
“From a scale of 1 to 10, I’m probably in the mid-2 range,” he says. “I see what Witney does and I’m like, ‘Why can’t I do that?’ And I’ll try a thousand times and I’m like, ‘Still can’t do that.'”
It’s not that surprising that someone who lies down on a sled for a living isn’t adept at moving his body. But lugers do have great toe points, which has to help, right? They also wear body-hugging skinsuits, so Mazdzer will also be fine when he does keep his dancing costumes on. “Tight clothes, no problem,” he says. “Tight clothes, I’m really good at.”
“Dancing with the Stars: Athletes” premieres Monday, April 30 at 8/7c on ABC.
