When she sang “Hard to Handle,” Howie compared her to 60s singing sensation Janis Joplin and recalled that Janis was signed on the spot by Clive Davis. As he wasn’t that music impressario the best thing he could do for her was hit his Golden Buzzer.

After she performed “Papa’s Got A Brand New Bag,” Howie was even more enthusiastic: “I am so glowing. You are so amazing that Simon Cowell came over and gave me a hug in the middle. There aren’t even words. I just want to scream. I want to tell people to vote. Can I scream?”
