Courtney Hadwin is all but certain to win season 13 of “America’s Got Talent” according to our latest survey of viewers. The schoolgirl with a grownup voice is the overwhelming favorite to win “AGT,” with almost half of those that tuned into the first live quarterfinal of “AGT” on August 14 predicting her to take home the title next month. Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer act won her place in the semifinals with a rocking performance of James Brown‘s soul classic “Papa’s Got a Brand New Bag.”
Hadwin’s closest competition from the other semifinalists chosen on August 15 is another Golden Buzzer act, Angel City Chorale. This 160-person choir sits at 17% for their rousing rendition of “This Is Me,” the powerful anthem from the film “The Greatest Showman.” They were singled out by guest judge Olivia Munn. Magician Shin Lim has conjured up 14% support for his card trick. And Mel B‘s Golden Buzzer, Amanda Mena, is at 10% for her cover of Pink‘s song “What About Us,” which added Spanish lyrics to the English ones.
Mena, like Hadwin, is also 13. Either would be third youngster in a row to win the show, following ventriloquist Darci Lynne Farmer and another singer, Grace VanderWaal. Besides Lim, there are three other acts hoping to stop them from doing that: stand-up comic Vicki Barbolak, dance group Junior New System, sibling singers We Three.
