For her Finals performance during Tuesday night’s “America’s Got Talent,” 14-year-old singer Courtney Hadwin chose to take on Tina Turner‘s “River Deep, Mountain High.” The song began in a restrained, slowed-down way that fans aren’t used to seeing from the teenager rocker trick, but as soon as the chorus kicked in Courtney went into full-blown beast mode. Will Courtney be named the winner of “AGT” 2018? Watch the “Americas Got Talent” performance video above, read the judges’ comments below, and then make your predictions before Wednesday’s Season 13 finale.

Howie Mandel: “Amazing! You know what? Those letters in your name are on fire. You are on fire. You are amazing. You’re a superstar. I love everything about you. I love your look, I love your style, I love your voice, I love your performance. I think the world does, too. We are watching a superstar in the making right here on ‘America’s Got Talent.'”

Mel B: “Well, last week I wasn’t buying it that much. You know that. But this week … you killed it! I just love you being like this where you’re just a free bird and you’re wild and you’re crazy. At one point I thought your leg was gonna snap, I’m serious. But you’re brilliant and original. You’re amazing.”

Heidi Klum: “Well, you know, the teenagers have been winning ‘America’s Got Talent.’ If you remember last year it was Darci Lynne. The year before that it was Grace VanderWaal. Maybe it will be you tomorrow. Maybe it’s gonna be you. I wish you good luck.”

Simon Cowell: “Look, Courtney, I always say the most important part of being a star is being remembered. And that’s what you do. Every time you perform, people are gonna remember you. You’re gonna inspire people. You’re gonna tell a whole new generation of people what rock n roll is all about. All these great songs. So you’re more than a great singer. You’re like a trend-setter. Without people like you, we don’t look good. So thank you.”

In his “AGT” live blog, our recapper Denton Davidson had this to say about the performance: “Howie’s golden buzzer Courtney Hadwin is up next. Let’s face it, this girl has become an absolute phenomenon. Her idols are James Brown, Otis Redding and Janis Joplin, but she hopes to make a name for herself. Tonight she’s singing “River Deep, Mountain High” by Tina Turner. She started off slowly, which was nice to hear since we don’t always get to hear that side of her voice. She quickly kicked into high gear though, belting it out and dancing around. Was she pitch perfect? No. Does anyone care? Not at all! It’s all about the passion from this girl and she gave another powerhouse performance.”
