Alexis Ren and Alan Bersten‘s first (?) kiss was recorded for posterity as “Dancing with the Stars” aired it during their rehearsal package two weeks ago. They have not yet smooched on the live shows, but there will be no better time to do so than if they win the Mirrorball trophy on Monday’s finale.
“We don’t plan ahead like that,” Bersten tells “Extra” (watch above) of a post-win liplock. “I don’t know, I don’t know,” Ren deflects.
So you’re saying there’s a chance? With the way their showmance has unfolded the past three weeks, we wouldn’t put it past them to seal their win with a kiss. It’d be just what TPTB ordered.
But even if they don’t claim the Mirrorball, Ren and Bersten feel like they’ve already won — not because they found each other, but because they’re in the finals. “I already won in my head,” Ren says. As Bersten notes, they’re the only couple of the all-female bottom five from Week 1 remaining. “We’re the only couple that was in jeopardy on the first week that had to do their second dance that is still here. We had to learn a full new dance,” Bersten reminds us. “I’m just so happy for both of us that we made it to the finals.”
It’s also the first final for Bersten, who’s in his third season as a pro. “We’re gonna see what happens here,” he says. “I’m excited, honestly. It’s my first freestyle, so I’m really going to try to go big.”
Ren and Bersten are currently in third place in our odds, behind Evanna Lynch and Keo Motsepe, and Milo Manheim and Witney Carson, and ahead of Bobby Bones and Sharna Burgess.
