Hell no, Joe won’t go! That has more or less been the stance of the “Bachelor” Nation, who have kept voting to keep fan-favorite Joe “Grocery Store Joe” Amabile on “Dancing with the Stars” despite historically low scores. Now that the show is closing in on its grand finale, has his luck finally run out? Yes, according to the combined predictions of Gold Derby users. But is that just wishful predicting?
As of this writing, Amabile gets leading odds of 7/2 to be eliminated. Our users thought he would be sent home last week too. And the week before that. I have a sinking feeling he’ll prove us wrong yet again and skate through to the finals this time as well, even though it looks like tonight might be a double elimination. On last night’s “DWTS: Juniors” ABC teased tonight’s semifinals by asking who would make the “final four,” which indicates that two will be sent home in advance of a four-contestant finale.
If there is a double elimination it will be tougher for Amabile to stick around, especially since he finished at the bottom of the leaderboard last week on Country Night, placing six points behind the next lowest contestant, Bobby Bones, who has also had ample fan support throughout the competition to compensate for his low judges’ marks. But Bones ranks second in our predictions with 4/1 odds, so assuming there is a double elimination tonight that’ll put the radio personality on the chopping block too if our users are right.
Alexis Ren might not be safe either. The model and Instagram influencer ranks third with 9/2 odds of being eliminated. The fans had her back in last week’s double elimination, so she’ll have to hope they’re still on her side to give her a shot at the Mirror Ball Trophy next week. Do you agree with our forecasts?
