Halloween Night is long behind us, but “Dancing with the Stars” season 27 might come down to a battle between a zombie and a witch. Milo Manheim, the teenage star of the Disney Channel’s “Zombies,” and Evanna Lynch, who mastered witchcraft in “Harry Potter,” are the top contenders to win the Mirror Ball Trophy, according to the combined predictions of more than 100 Gold Derby users.
Our users predict the “DWTS” results every week, and with six contestants going into the semifinals Lynch is the current front-runner with leading odds of 49/20. This comes after she topped the judges’ leaderboard for the very first time on Country Night. She started the night by earning her first perfect score of 30 out of 30 for her rumba. Then she carried that momentum into a team dance that was nearly perfect, receiving 29 out of 30.
But while Lynch outscored Manheim on Monday night, he has had way more experience at the top this season. He has been the judges’ favorite dancer four times, including a perfect score of his own for his Halloween Night contemporary routine. And on Country Night he finished just one point shy of Lynch’s combined score thanks to stingy Len Goodman only giving him a 9 for his individual dance.
Fighting for third place in our odds are Alexis Ren, who despite her unpopular showmance ranks third in our predictions with 5/1 odds, and Juan Pablo Di Pace, who had a perfect Charleston on Monday night but a disappointing team dance and now places fourth with 11/2 odds. Joe Amabile and Bobby Bones have been unshakable up to this point thanks to the support of their fans, but our users still don’t think they’re likely contenders to win the Mirror Ball — yet.
