‘America’s Got Talent’ winner Darci Lynne Farmer: From Golden Buzzer to golden Emmy?

Last year’s “America’s Got Talent” winner Darci Lynne Farmer could be the key to the show finally winning an Emmy. It was just under a year ago that this 13-year-old ventriloquist came to fame on “AGT.” She was a sensation from the start, getting yes votes from all four judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and Mel B in her audition. The latter was so impressed that she pushed her Golden Buzzer sending Farmer straight through to the live shows.

This talented teen recently performed for TV academy voters to tout season 12 of the NBC reality competition series. She brought along her puppet pal Petunia. Watch the two of them wow these Hollywood types with their flawless duet on an aria from an Italian opera.

Farmer was the third ventriloquist to win “AGT” after Terry Fator in Season 2 and Paul Zerdin in Season 10. Since then, she has headlined her own show in Las Vegas and is currently midway through her nationwide tour, “Darci Lynne and Friends Live.” Upcoming gigs include various state fairs this summer.
