DeAndre Nico (‘All of Me’) eliminated on ‘The Voice’ after coach Adam Levine throws him under the bus [WATCH]

As Gold Derby predicted, both DeAndre Nico of Team Adam Levine and Dave Fenley of Team Blake Shelton were eliminated during the Top 10 results show of “The Voice.” However, what transpired on live television was something you truly had to see to believe. After two of Adam’s artists — DeAndre and Reagan Strange — were revealed to be in the bottom three, Adam threw DeAndre under the bus in order to help Reagan win the instant save vote. And it worked. DeAndre was sent home while Reagan, who was too sick to perform a “save-me” song, made it into the Top 8.

Despite Adam’s strategic move to pick sides between his two artists, DeAndre’s final performance of “All of Me” (watch above) was praised by rival coaches Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson.

JHud raved, “You know, DeAndre, it is so beautiful when you sing a song and you really, really mean it. Like you meant every single word. All I want to say to you is all you can do is the best you can do, and you just did that with that song.”

And Kelly declared, “DeAndre, you just sang the hell out of that song. And I just wanted to say, I know it’s so horrible that Reagan is not able to present herself, and I know that’s where [Adam] is coming from, so please know that. He’s bummed for her.”

DeAndre proved to be the bigger man in the situation, showing Adam respect just before the final vote was read. “Thank you for just your support, man,” DeAndre told his stone-faced coach. “Everything that you have done so far, thank you.”

After the dust settled on this startling results night, Kelly is now in the lead heading into next week’s Top 8 show with three artists (Sarah Grace, Kymberli Joye, Chevel Shepherd). Jennifer has two (Kennedy Holmes, MaKenzie Thomas) and Blake Shelton has two (Chris Kroeze, Kirk Jay), while Adam is in the rear with one (Reagan Strange).
