“I didn’t see this one coming at all, I’ll tell you that,” declared Faysal Shafaat in the Diary Room after being nominated for eviction in Week 9 of “Big Brother” 20. During Sunday’s episode, Head of Household Angela Rummans put Faysal on the block next to his showmance partner Haleigh Broucher, mere days after they’d agreed to a four-person alliance along with Tyler Crispen. “It sucks being on the block, but it’s an even worse feeling being on the block next to my girl Haleigh. I just kind of feel stupid,” Faysal admitted. “I should have just took a shot at Angela, Tyler and Kaycee Clark last week.”
“Fessy is the only person in this house that I can trust,” Haleigh later confessed through tears. “Which means in the unlikely scenario event that I stay and Fessy leaves, I’m on an island. It’s not over, but it feels pretty close.” Haleigh believed that she was going up as a pawn next to Sam Bledsoe, but Angela threw a wrench in her plans when she instead nominated the showmance duo together.
A braggadocios Angela later explained, “I nominated Haleigh and Faysal because Haleigh is the brains, Fess is the brawns. If they stay in this house, there’s a very good chance that they can make it to the end and I can not and will not let that happen.”
For her part, Angela was truly considering evicting Sam this week and keeping Faysal and Haleigh in the game. That is, until “puppet master” JC Mounduix convinced her to take a swing at the powerful showmance. “My plan continues to work week after week,” JC laughed in the Diary Room after the noms were announced. “And my big fat puppet has no idea what he’s going on. Oh God, Faysal.”
