FX’s ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ Emmy FYC mailer highlights Sarah Paulson & Evan Peters, plus which 6 supporting players?

FX has shipped its massive 2018 Emmy FYC mailer to the TV academy membership that includes “American Horror Story: Cult” plus 10 other original programs. The bee-themed “AHS: Cult” package contains three episodes of the Best Limited Series contender on one DVD: “Election Night,” “11/9” and “Charles (Manson) in Charge.” The Emmy booklet also specifically highlights Sarah Paulson for Best Limited Series/Movie Actress, Evan Peters for Best Limited Series/Movie Actor and these six supporting players: Alison Pill, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Leslie Grossman, Billy Eichner and Cheyenne Jackson.

Paulson portrays Ally Mayfair-Richards in the show’s seventh installment, a wife and mother whose many phobias return after Donald Trump wins the 2016 presidential election. Throughout the course of “AHS: Cult” Ally soon joins a murderous cult that’s led by the devilish Kai Anderson (a career-best Peters), and then eventually claims her power back when she runs for government office.

The first episode of “AHS: Cult,” titled “Election Night,” has been submitted for Best Limited Series Writing for showrunners Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. These three episodes contend for Best Limited Series Directing: Bradley Buecker‘s “Election Night,” Angela Bassett‘s “Drink the Kool-Aid” and Jennifer Lynch‘s “Great Again.”

Also included in FX’s 2018 Emmy mailer are drama series “The Americans,” “Legion,” “Snowfall” and “Trust,” comedy series “Atlanta,” “Baskets,” “Better Things” and “You’re the Worst,” limited series “The Assassination of Gianni Versace,” and animated series “Archer.”
