Gotham Awards 2018 winners: Best prediction scores by our Editors and Users

Congratulations to our User Scott L for a fantastic score of 87.50% when predicting the 2018 Gotham Awards winners on Monday. He is just ahead of three people — filmmyles, Matt Armstrong and pnvp — with a 75.00% score and has a great point score total of 5,105 by using the 500 super bets wisely.

Almost 800 people worldwide predicted these film winners in eight categories for the awards ceremony held in New York City. For an event loaded with surprises, our top scorer got seven winners correct and only missed once (choosing “The Favourite” for Best Picture instead of “The Rider”). Those selections included Best Actor (Ethan Hawke), Best Actress (Toni Collette) and Best Breakthrough Actor (Elsie Fisher).

You can see how your score compares to all others in our leaderboard rankings of all contestants, which also includes links to see each participant’s predictions. To see your own scores, go to the User menu in the top right corner of every page of Gold Derby when you’re signed in to the site. Use the drop down menu to go to “View Profile,” then look for the links to your “Award Show Scores.” Gold Derby must evaluate each potential winner’s eligibility as per our contest rules. If eligible, the first-place finisher receives a $100 Amazon gift card.

For the six Editors predicting all the categories, Joyce Eng and Susan Wloszczyna are tied for first with 50.00% correct. We then have a four-way tie with 37.50% for Marcus Dixon, Daniel Montgomery, Paul Sheehan and myself. See Editors’ scores.
