After spending a tumultuous three weeks on the block, Haleigh Broucher became the first houseguest booted from the game during Thursday night’s exciting Double Eviction episode of “Big Brother.” The 21-year old college student walked out the front door to greet host Julie Chen following a unanimous 4-0 vote to evict her over Sam Bledsoe. Gold Derby readers correctly predicted Haleigh would be evicted.

Although disheartened by her expected eviction, Haleigh was thrilled to meet Chen, who she has been enamored with all summer. After the two traded compliments, Chen got down to business asking, “This is the third week in a row you were sitting in that nomination chair. Why couldn’t you get that target off your back?” Taking full responsibility, Haleigh responded, “I did a great job of putting it there to begin with. I think it all started with the little secret I let slip about Bayleigh [Dayton] not being the hacker and it just went downhill from there. My conscience would not allow me to not do it. I couldn’t sit there and listen to her suffer.”

Chen then asked about a moment earlier this season when Haleigh and Faysal Shafaat (Fessy) joked about being the worst players in “Big Brother” history. After pondering her actions, Haleigh said her worst move in the game could have been her incident with Bayleigh, but it was a toss up. “I don’t know if it was that or my HOH week. They were both pretty terrible,” she admitted.
Haleigh’s face lit up when Chen questioned her about her summer showmance with Fessy. “I think he’s awesome,” she exclaimed. “He’s a good guy. There’s a lot of things that were questionable about the whole game, but I’m definitely ready to see him.”
Following the brief interview, Haleigh was allowed to watch a few goodbye messages from the houseguests that evicted her. Kaycee Clark and Angela Rummans appeared to be doing damage control when both expressed it was Brett Robinson who informed them Haleigh was targeting them. Brett then flipped the script, stating Kaycee, Angela and Tyler Crispin wanted Haleigh out. He then said he couldn’t wait to party with her at the Texas vs. Alabama game, to which she quickly responded, “Uninvited!” Haleigh now becomes Juror #5, joining Bayleigh, Rockstar Lantry, Fessy and Scottie Salton in the jury house.
