Jackie Verna eliminated on ‘The Voice’ Season 14 after performing Carrie Underwood’s ‘I Told You So’ [WATCH]

Tuesday night during the live Top 10 results episode of “The Voice,” country singer Jackie Verna of Team Adam Levine was named one of the bottom three artists along with Team Adam’s Rayshun LaMarr and Team Alicia’s Christiana Danielle. Viewers voted live during the show to instantly save Rayshun, thereby eliminating Christiana and Jackie from NBC’s reality TV competition. Jackie’s instant save song was Carrie Underwood‘s “I Told You So” (watch above). Do YOU think America made the right decision to send home Jackie? Let us know down in the comments section.

“Here’s the thing: I’m pretty shocked to see you here in the bottom,” Adam readily admitted after her performance of “I Told You So.” “As much as I would love to just sit here and beg America to vote for my favorite two people, Jackie and Rayshun, I’m not gonna beg. But what I am gonna say is, I don’t know if I need that to know how talented you are. I don’t need that validation to know how much you deserve to be here until the end, as far as I’m concerned. I know my craft and I also know how talented and gifted you are, truly.”

Adam continued on, “You gotta [vote] because to me it’s shocking that she’s ever there in the first place. But what’s more important, Jackie, is that you take whatever happens now and you promise me that you’re gonna expand it, because you are truly, truly amazing.” Heading into next week’s Top 8, Adam now only has one artist — Rayshun LaMarr — still in the competition.

In his recap of “The Voice,” our live-blogger Denton Davidson had this to say about Jackie’s instant save performance: “Now THIS is a song you choose when you’re fighting to stay in the competition. I’ve only grown to like Jackie more each week. Her voice is beautiful, classic country. She hit a few bum notes but overall the song choice was brilliant and the fact that she burst into tears at the end should earn her a few sympathy votes.”
