It’s still early days in the ‘Big Brother 20’ house, but Julie Chen already has a favorite to take home the $500,000 at the end of the summer: Tyler Crispen. “I’m gonna say Tyler,” she told “Entertainment Tonight.” He’s been playing the game, and he’s been playing it well, and he has no enemies.”
Chen was impressed by Tyler’s stint as the first Head of Household, during which he formed an alliance (Level 6) while playing both sides of the house, nominated two low-key people without “getting blood on his hands,” and got his target, Steve, out by getting Kaitlyn to flip.
“I think he’s playing an excellent game,” Chen says. “He’s likable, he’s believable, he’s playing all sides of the house, but not in this unlikable, slimy way. He’s doing it in a smart way. He’s keeping his lies straight. He’s a lot smarter [than you think].”
Like many, Chen judged a book by its cover and underestimated Tyler before he entered the house. His surfer dude looks and chill vibe reminded her of Spicoli from “Fast Times at Ridgemont High. “But that’s not the case at all, and I think, outside of the house, he strikes me as someone who’s a good person,” she says. “Anyone who wants to save the oceans cannot be a bad guy.” (To be fair, Tyler is very open about how he may not be the sharpest tool in the shed.)
Tyler currently looks to be safe for another week with Kaitlyn as HOH. The FOUTTE founder made a pinky promise with Tyler on the live feeds Friday to nominate Winston and Scottie and then to backdoor Swaggy C.

Currently Winston Hines is the odds-on favorite to win “Big Brother” Season 20, but expect the odds to fluctuate once viewers get to see all the players in action.
