Junior New System dance for joy on judge cuts as they fight for place on ‘America’s Got Talent’ [WATCH]

After wowing the “America’s Got Talent” judges with their audition on May 30, Junior New System returned on July 17 to see if they could make it past judge cuts and land a place in the live quarter-finals in August. This talented troupe traveled from the Philippines to perform for Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B and Heidi Klum as well as guest judge Ken Jeong.

The panel was moved by their story of being street children in Manila and then wowed by their moves, which combined hip-hop and gymnastics with much of it done in six-inch high heels. The all-male dance group had the five judges jumping for joy. (Watch their performance in the video above.)

After their rollicking routine, which earned a standing ovation from the crowd and the panel, Mel B enthused, “What just happened?” Mandel was equally awe-struck by Junior New System, calling their routine “stunning.” He declared that they were the reason that “AGT” existed: to make dream like theirs, of a better life for their families back home, come true. Klum confessed, “you guys really woke me up.” And Cowell enthusiastically endorsed the yes votes of his colleagues, noting how much better this routine was than their first appearance.
