Kelly Clarkson’s ‘fighter’ Lynnea Moorer eliminated on ‘The Voice’: Was the comeback twist a bust? [WATCH]

During the Tuesday, November 27 episode of “The Voice,” Lynnea Moorer‘s journey came to an end after she lost the instant save vote to DeAndre Nico. Lynnea had already felt the sting of defeat back in the blind auditions when none of the four coaches turned their chairs around for her, but thanks to the Comeback Stage twist she was able to re-enter the competition as the fourth member of Team Kelly Clarkson. Unfortunately, Lynnea’s “Tattooed Heart” performance (watch above) failed to connect with the live audience and she was sent home in 11th place, as Gold Derby predicted. So was the comeback twist a bust? Give us your thoughts down in the comments section.

“Lynnea, you’re my fighter,” Kelly told her 18-year-old artist after she once again found herself in the bottom. “She’s my fighter, y’all. She fights so hard to be here. I love her as not only a vocalist, but I love her as an artist. I love what she represents on this show. So thank y’all so much for keeping her here so long. Thank you for keeping her tonight. Y’all be with me. Come on, vote Lynnea!”

When it was Lynnea’s turn to address Kelly, she thanked her coach “for making me a fighter,” but Kelly interrupted to tell her she’s “always been that.” Lynnea continued, “Thank you for showing me everything I didn’t know about myself. I didn’t know I had the vibe that you had suggested to me. So just thank you for everything.”

During the commercial break America voted between sending home either DeAndre or Lynnea, and they ultimately chose to keep DeAndre in the competition. That means Kelly still has three artists on her team heading into the upcoming Top 10 week: Sarah Grace, Kymberli Joye and Chevel Shepherd.

Prior to her performance of “Tattooed Heart,” Lynnea sang “Location” during the blind auditions, “My My My!” during the comeback battles, “In My Blood” during the comeback knockouts, “Boo’d Up” during Top 26 week and “Wolves” during Top 13 week. She appeared in the bottom three last week but was instantly saved when both SandyRedd and Tyke James were voted out instead.
