It’s a ‘No Brainer’: Justin Bieber and DJ Khaled debut in Billboard’s top five, but still can’t unseat Drake from number-one

Sometimes it takes a village to make a top-five hit on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. In May of 2017 DJ Khaled debuted at number-one with “I’m the One” with a little help from his friends Justin Bieber, Chance the Rapper, Quavo and Lil Wayne. Now most of them are back together. Khaled, Bieber, Chance and Quavo reunited for the single “No Brainer,” which has debuted at number-five on this week’s chart dated August 11. See who else made this week’s top 10 in the video above.

“No Brainer” is the second single from Khaled’s upcoming 11th studio album “Father of Asahd.” It’s the fourth top-10 single for Khaled, following “I’m on One” in 2011 with Drake, Rick Ross and the aforementioned Lil Wayne; his sole chart-topper “I’m the One”; and then “Wild Thoughts” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller.

But speaking of Drake, it’s still impossible to unseat him from the top spot. His “In My Feelings” is number-one for the fourth straight week, and his album “Scorpion” is the top album for the fifth straight week. The song and album have both been fueled by their powerhouse streaming performance, and while “In My Feelings” is down 10% in streams this week from its record-breaking heights, the debut of its official video on August 2 might give it another shot in the arm going into next week’s chart. As of this writing the video has accumulated 44 million views in 4 days.

Between his three number-one singles (“God’s Plan,” “Nice for What,” “In My Feelings”), Drake has now spent 24 weeks in the lead position just this year. So at this point anyone who wants the top song in the country might be better off featuring on one of his tracks instead of on DJ Khaled’s.
