‘Outlander’ episode 4.9 video recap: Claire and Jamie overjoyed as they reunite with daughter Brianna in ‘The Birds and the Bees’ [WATCH]

In “The Birds & The Bees,” the ninth episode of season four of the Starz hit drama “Outlander,” Brianna’s (Sophie Skelton) search for her parents finally comes to an end when she reunites with Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and meets Jamie (Sam Heughan), who are both shocked and overjoyed at her unexpected arrival in Wilmington.  The family returns to Fraser’s Ridge, where Jamie tries to bond with his newfound daughter.  Meanwhile, Brianna struggles to suppress dark memories of the traumatic event that transpired in Wilmington.  But Brianna’s efforts to conceal her pain do not go unnoticed by Claire, who can sense that something is troubling her daughter. The episode was written by Matthew B. Roberts and Toni Graphia and directed by David Moore.

“Well, this was an eventful one!” Rob proclaims in opening up the discussion about the episode. “Finally! We finally get a pay off,” Paula says about the pivotal meeting scene between Jamie and his daughter Brianna.

“That was a stunningly beautiful scene,” Rob agrees. “Sam Heughan, you are one of the best actors on television, and you do not get enough credit,” he declares. “I loved it,” Paula agrees. “He finally gets to see her, she’s within arms reach and he can hug her. It gave me the warm and fuzzies.”
