‘Outlander’ spoilers: Everything we know about season 4 from new teaser trailer [WATCH]

Season 4 of “Outlander” starts on Starz in November and the pay TV network just released a jam-packed trailer that you can watch above. But be warned: this teaser video is full of potential spoilers and spills secrets about the troubles ahead for star-crossed lovers Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan).

There are 13 episodes in this upcoming season which is based on “Drums of Autumn,” the fourth of eight books in the best-selling book series by Diana Gabaldon. We know that the recently reunited Jamie and Claire have been shipwrecked off the Georgia coast in 1766. They look forward to beginning a new life in the colonies, seemingly free of their troubles in Scotland.

Balfe, Heughan and the rest of the “Outlander” cast spent a year filming season 4 in Scotland and then various locales in eastern Europe, which stand in for the mountains and rivers of the American colonies.

As the season 3 finale of “Outlander” aired in December 2017, that means the Droughtlander till season 4 will last almost a year. While it has been agonizing, we are thankful that the accelerated production schedule cut five months off the nearly year-and-a-half gap between seasons 2 and 3.
