Amanda Valentine holds onto her lead in our “Project Runway All Stars” predictions to win season six, but how long will that last? She sailed safely through the first three weeks of the competition, but she received a low score from the judges in episode four, “Balls Out.” Now the “Runway” fans we poll every week for their picks in our predictions center say Valentine needs to watch out for Fabio Costa, who is on the rise.
Valentine remains in our top spot with leading racetrack odds of 9/5 as of this writing. That translates to a 36.02% chance of winning the competition, but after struggling in last week’s challenge she has lost some ground; going into last week’s show she had 13/10 odds, or a 43.78% chance of winning. Anyone can have an off week, but she might start to plummet in our odds if she can’t recover on Thursday night’s show.
Meanwhile, Costa is way up after after two strong performances in a row. He and Ken Laurence won the design challenge as a team two weeks ago in “Perfect Pairings.” And then Costa’s unconventional-materials ball gown in “Balls Out” was one of the highest scorers. Now he’s in second place with 11/4 odds, or a 26.53% chance of winning. That’s a dramatic improvement from last week when he was in fourth place with 18/1 odds, or a mere 5.55% chance.
Anthony Williams rounds out our top three with 5/1 odds, or a 17.05% chance of victory. Do you agree with our “Runway” forecasts?
