2018 Razzies: Jamie Dornan finally accepts his Worst Actor award for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ from Conan O’Brien [WATCH]

He’d like to thank the academy … or, maybe not. “Fifty Shades of Grey” star Jamie Dornan won Worst Actor at the Razzie Awards two years ago for his performance as America’s favorite BDSM businessman Christian Grey in the erotic drama. He wasn’t there to accept the “honor,” but he would have been happy to go. “Dude, if they invited me I’d be there,” Dornan recently told Conan O’Brien (watch above). “I won one, and I didn’t even get invited.”

“I’m intrigued to see what it’s all about,” Dornan explains. Poking fun at the awards that have poked fun at him, he added, “Apparently you can just pay $90 and just become a member online. An establishment that runs itself like that intrigues me quite a lot.” But even though he didn’t have the pleasure of accepting his prestigious Razzie in person, he finally got his hands on the trophy when O’Brien presented him with the coveted prize. But upon examining the statuette it fell apart in his hands — “That kind of sums of the Razzies I feel.”

A few Razzie winners have had gamely accepted their dishonors in person, including Halle Berry, who won Worst Actress for “Catwoman” (2004), and Sandra Bullock, who won Worst Actress for “All About Steve” (2009) the night before she accepted her Best Actress Oscar for “The Blind Side” (2009). Dornan may have missed his previous Razzie ceremony, but he’ll have a chance to join that club this year as he’s nominated again for the 2017 sequel “Fifty Shades Darker.” And he could be nominated again next year for the final installment in the trilogy, “Fifty Shades Freed,” which just opened on February 9. In fact, he would be the first actor to win twice for the same role since Sylvester Stallone for “Rambo: First Blood Part II” (1985) and “Rambo III” (1988).

Do you think Dornan should show up at this year’s Razzie ceremony on March 3?
