Halle Berry is one of the few Hollywood superstars to have the guts to show up at the Razzie Awards in person to accept their trophy, something that audiences members ate up like catnip. Berry appeared at the 25th Golden Raspberry Awards in 2005 after “winning” Worst Actress for “Catwoman” (2004), and she brought along a very special accessory: her Best Actress Oscar for “Monster’s Ball” (2001). “First of all I want to thank Warner Bros,” Berry remarked at the podium. “Thank you for putting me in a piece of s***, god-awful movie!” Watch the video above.
“I never in my life thought I would be up here winning a Razzie,” Berry told the excited crowd while feigning excitement. “I mean, it’s not like I ever aspired to be here. But thank you!” Holding up her Oscar, Berry then joked, “No, I don’t have to give this back — it’s got my name on it!”
Berry continued, “I’ve got so many people to thank, because you don’t win a Razzie without a lot of help from a lot of people. So please indulge me and just let me go through this.” She went on to thank her manager, her agent, her lawyers, the film’s writers and her fellow “Catwoman” cast members, including Alex Borstein, who she brought up to the podium.
