Reagan Strange’s path to ‘The Voice’ victory is not ‘Complicated’ after fun rendition of Avril Lavigne hit [WATCH]

Monday, November 26 on “The Voice,” Reagan Strange took on Avril Lavigne‘s “Complicated” for Team Adam Levine during the Top 11 performance episode. In their mentoring session Regan and Adam agreed that it was important for her to have fun on the stage since, after all, she’s only 14 years old. As this was “Fan Night,” America got to pick which song each artist performed, but will Reagan earn enough votes to make it through to next week’s all-important Top 10? Watch “The Voice” live performance above and read the judges’ comments below.

Blake Shelton told the young pop singer, “Hi, Reagan. I’m glad they’re lettin’ me talk because it’s fan week and I am honestly such a fan of yours. I have been since day one, since the blind auditions. I just think there’s something really special about you. There’s a ton of charisma. When you step on that stage, everybody can see it. And you sing perfectly. Congratulations, that was awesome.”

When it was finally his turn to speak, Adam announced, “I wish I had a half an hour to talk about you because I absolutely adore you. Honestly, Reagan, you continue to impress me every week and this week is no different. You are unbelievable as a talent. Like Blake said, [it’s] your natural charisma, your ability to really command to crowd. You’re 14 years old and I truly, genuinely believe not only can you win this thing, but you can be just such a tremendous star and an influence on so many impressionable kids your age. I just adore you and I think you’re really special. Man, I want to keep going but I can’t. I love you, I really do.”

Prior to this performance of “Complicated,” Reagan sang “Meant to Be” during the blind auditions, “Photograph” during the battles, “Dancing On My Own” during the knockouts, “Worth It” during Top 26 week and “You Say” during Top 13 week.

In his “The Voice” live blog, our recapper Denton Davidson had this to say about the live performance: “She looks great tonight, the 14-year old is just adorable there’s no denying it. Vocally, this performance is a little predictable. She’s not really bringing anything new to the song and at times sounds short of breath. If she is the top streaming artist again this week there is no question she’s the favorite to win.”
