‘Roseanne’ comes face-to-face with both Beckys in new revival photos

Roseanne is seeing double — Beckys, that is. In new photos from ABC’s “Roseanne” revival, the Conner matriarch has a chat with the two women, Lecy Goranson and Sarah Chalke, who played her daughter Becky during the series’ original run.

Both Beckys are back in the revival, with Goranson reprising the role she originated and Chalke, aka Becky No. 2, playing a new character named Andrea, who asks Becky to be her surrogate. After — spoiler alert! — accepting the offer so she can make more money in the premiere, Becky introduces Andrea to her family in the second episode. And based on these photos, Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) and Jackie (Laurie Metcalf) may have a few concerns.

Goranson played Becky for the first five seasons of “Roseanne” before departing to go to college. Chalke stepped in as Becky for the next two seasons, and both actresses alternated the role in Season 8 before Chalke took over once again in the ninth and final season.

The “Roseanne” revival premieres Tuesday, March 27 at 8/7c with a one-hour episode on ABC.
