In Thursday’s sixth episode of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” Season 3, the remaining five queens had to audition to be a part of RuPaul‘s new super group, The Kitty Girls. They each had to create distinctive kitty looks and personas and then write lyrics for their new singles. Which purr-fact queen was named the challenge champ? And do you still agree with Gold Derby’s predictions that Trixie Mattel will be this season’s ultimate winner?

7:59 p.m. – Previously, on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars”! In last week’s fifth episode Trixie and BeBe Zahara Benet were named the winners of the Andy Warhol soup can challenge, with BeBe excelling at the lip sync battle. BeBe ultimately chose to eliminate Aja from the competition because of her failed soup can look. Which queen will follow Aja out the door this week and is tonight the night an eliminated queen makes a surprise return to the competition? Let’s find out!
8:00 p.m. – Kicking right off where last week’s “to be continued…” left off, Morgan Michaels, Aja and Chi Chi DeVayne as well as Milk and Thorgy Thor (!!!) are all back to seek revenge on the queens that eliminated them… themed as handmaids from The Handmaid’s Tale! But it’s still a secret to the other girls still in the competition.
8:02 p.m. – Backstage, BeBe and Trixie both tell Shangela that they chose to save her from elimination because she deserves to remain in the competition based on past performance. That conversation leads into a roll call of each of the girls’ “track record” so far in the season and on the bottom of that scorecard is Kennedy Davenport.
8:04 p.m. – The next day in the workroom, RuPaul Charles arrives to present this week’s main challenge–an audition for her new supergroup, The Kitty Girls. Each queen will have to create a distinct kitty girl look and persona as well as write lyrics for their solo on the debut single.
8:05 p.m. – But that’s not it! Ru tells them tat she’ll also be auditioning some other girls and invites the five eliminated queens back into the workroom! These five will be forming their own competing group so that the two groups can compete head-to-head. By the end of the competition one of the girls still in the competition will be eliminated to be replaced by one of the returning girls.
8:08 p.m. – With the eliminated queens back in the workroom, conversation quickly turned toward rehashing why the winning queens had come to the decisions they made about some of the eliminations. First, Thorgy and Shangela worked out their differences and then Morgan confronted BenDeLaCreme about, as Morgan puts it, being a hypocrite in the first episode when she sent her home.
8:16 p.m. – When it comes to Aja’s turn to speak, she asks BeBe why she didn’t give her credit for having helped her create her outfit last week when BeBe won and sent Aja home. Then Milk and Kennedy hashed out the decision for Milk to go home which turned to both girls to tears when Kennedy told Milk that she was acting like she was better than everyone else and her decision was a personal one. With that, sounds like there’s a lot of bad beef between the two kitty girl groups and the decision for one girl to replace another might be a fiery one!
8:30 p.m. – After planning in the workroom the girls head to the studio to record their verses with Adam Lambert. The Returning Girls have included a couple raps in their song, performed by Aja and Milk, and get positive critiques from Adam. Meanwhile, Trixie really struggles to hit the right comedy notes and Ben doesn’t quite live up to the promise of her goth character for the Kitty Girls.
8:40 p.m. – While applying makeup prior to the runway, some of the queens take a moment to clear the air between them, resulting in both Ben and Morgan as well as Milk and Kennedy coming to a truce and a new understanding about the arguments they had. The takeaway for all of the girls is that it’s important to be direct with one another rather than allowing negative feelings to go unresolved and turn into larger issues down the road.
8:49 p.m. – Joining the series judges Ru, Michelle Visage and Carson Kressley are Adam and Emma Bunton from The Spice Girls! They watched on as the eliminated queens performed their song, “Sittin’ on a Secret” and the top five all-stars debuted their single “Drag Up Your Life.”
8:58 p.m. – Based on those performances, Ru declared the top five all-stars the winners! The top two of the week will be determined from this group and face-off in a lip synch. The winner of that lip synch will have to choose one of their teammates to eliminate and one of the eliminated queens to return to the competition.
9:00 p.m. – During critiques, Trixie was complimented on a stunning costume, but Adam read her for being stand offish in the recording session. Adam also told Ben she was stand offish, but successfully course-corrected for the performance. Both Shangela and Kennedy received high marks for their looks and their performances with Emma saying that Shangela stole the show. BeBe’s bizarre Jungle Kitty persona got the biggest compliments from all the judges and was named one of the winners along with Ben!
9:09 p.m. – Backstage for deliberations and deal-making, none of the top five all-stars feel like they performed badly enough to go home. Kennedy feels like she’s the most in hot water because of her track record compared to the other girls. As one of the top two, Ben feels conflicted and lost about how she’s supposed to reach her decision.
9:14 p.m. – After speaking with all the girls, Ben still feels lost about how she’ll make her decision about sending someone home. And when speaking with the eliminated queens, they all plead their case about why they should come back, but Chi Chi admits that she shouldn’t be the one to bring back because she knows he didn’t perform well this season and doesn’t deserve to return.
9:21 p.m. – This week’s lip synch between Ben and BeBe was to “Nobody’s Supposed to Be Here” by Deborah Cox, a glamorous disco remix of the track that you’d think is a perfect one for BeBe to knock out of the park. But Ben really steps up her game and gives the more lively and passionate performance compared to BeBe’s stagnant rendition that ends in her taking her wig off and dramatically slipping on to the floor. In the end, the decision is easy–Ben wins!
9:24 p.m. – The eliminated queens step forward first and Ben says they’re all deserving, but chooses to bring back Morgan because she had a shorter opportunity than the other girls and is most worthy of a second chance. Then the bottom three all-stars step forward to hear their fate, but instead of eliminating one of them, Ben says “this is the easiest decision I’ve ever had to make” and decides to leave the competition herself. Ru is justifiably shocked and at a loss for words, but Ben is strong in her conviction and says that she’s done what she’s had to do in the competition and is ready to go.
9:28 p.m. – As a winner of five of the six challenges, seeing Ben axe herself from the competition is a real gag, and as happy as the other four all-stars are to stay, it seems the consensus among the rest of the cast is that this was just another example of how Ben was trying to appease the fans rather than make waves. That being said, I’m excited to see how the other girls reach the finish line and whether Morgan can make the best of her second chance!
