8:03 p.m. – Following Farrah’s elimination last week, the other queens want to know from Gia how their friendship had fallen off and how she felt about Farrah leaving after their big argument. The general consensus was that Gia has become too much to bear in the workroom and was working the nerves of everyone else. Shortly after Gia’s questioning, Monet X Change and Monique Heart got into it with Trinity the Tuck over her choice of style. It looks like Gia isn’ the only one stirring up drama!

8:05 p.m. – In a welcomed surprise, RuPaul Charles presented the week’s maxi challenge as the iconic “Snatch Game” where each queen impersonates a celebrity. But this season’s version of the game has evolved into “The Snatch Game of Love” where they’d be competing to match with the hearts of two celebrity contestants.

8:07 p.m. – In the workroom the all stars reflected on their original performances in the “Snatch Game” on their first seasons. Naomi Smalls took a big hit on season 8 for being only a look queen and so he came to this season wanting to prove that he’s more versatile than that. Monet was one queen who performed really well in this challenge originally and so the pressure to live up to her legendary Maya Angelou impersonation was high.

8:10 p.m. – While discussing which impersonations each queen would do it quickly became clear that both Gia and Trinity were both planning on portraying Caitlyn Jenner. Like prom dresses, certainly no two girls could wear the same thing to “Snatch Game” so both girls started arguing for the right to take on the role.

8:15 p.m. – For the girls the decision rested on each of their reasons and plans for the portrayal. Once that didn’t help solve it, Gia admitted that she didn’t come with a plan B, but then she considered instead doing Cardi B‘s nail artist. That left Trinity free to do Caitlyn.

8:17 p.m. – In the end, here is which character each queen took on: Monet as Whitney Houston, Naomi as Wendy Williams, Trinity as Caitlyn and Valentina as Eartha Kitt in round 1 trying to win the heart of guest Gus Kenworthy.

8:24 p.m. – In that first round, Naomi and Trinity both had Ru in stitches, but Valentina struggled to find her footing as Kitt. In fact, Trinity ate up a lot of airtime by playing off of the things the other queens were saying. Monet underperformed as Houston so it’s hard to tell if the sweat on her brow part of the act or not. Gus ended up choosing Trinity as his match because she made him laugh the most.

8:29 p.m. – The next round was a showdown for Keiynan Lonsdale‘s heart featuring Monique as Tiffany Haddish, Latrice Royale as Della Reese, Manila Luzon as Barbra Streisand and Gia as Jenny Bui.

8:34 p.m. – Among the four queens, Gia suffered to pull in the laughs despite her repeated attempts to jump in when other girls were holding the floor. Monique and Manila definitely picked up her slack though and hit every joke they attempted. Latrice was also solid at the start, but truthfully she suffered from her annoyance at Gia’s step-ins and so, as Manila put it, she kept slipping outside of her character. Keiynan’s personal winner was Manila as Barbra, a great choice!

8:40 p.m. – Back in the workroom, everyone seemed to think that Gia was definitely going to fall into the bottom, but Trinity cautioned Valentina that she might end up there, too. Manila, Trinity and Valentina then considered that “obviously” anyone that won should send Gia home, but Manila pointed out that it might present the perfect opportunity to take out a stronger competitor instead!

8:42 p.m. – Latrice then opened up about how distracting she found Gia, who surprisingly took it well and apologized, but Manila told her it looks purposeful. Gia insisted she didn’t realize she was messing up the games of the other queens.

8:45 p.m. – Keiynan and Gus were back in the studio to help Michelle Visage, Ross Mathews, and Ru judge the queens on the runway mainstage wearing their best “boots the house down” look. Based on “Snatch Game” performances and runway looks, Ru declared both Monique and Monet safe, leaving the other six as the tops and bottoms of the week.

8:59 p.m. – In their critiques, Ross was really impressed by Naomi as Wendy but felt like her runway look didn’t really meet the challenge despite its beauty. Trinity and Manila were clear faves among the judges and Ross even called Trinity’s work one of his favorite ever, but Valentina was told she didn’t meet the mark as Kitt or with her poorly executed runway look. Michelle and Gus made it clear that Gia’s impersonation of Jenny was rough and also brought down the other girls, specifically Latrice. Latrice took heat for not playing it cool during the game after Gia began throwing her off. Ultimately, Manila and Trinity did score the highest and were declared winners of the week while Valentina and Gia were in the bottom and would be up for elimination at their whim.

9:09 p.m. – In the workroom, Trinity and Manila wanted to clarify their intentions on the impending elimination decision. As the weakest queen in the competition, Gia was Trinity’s clear choice to go home, but Manila was more concerned by the opportunity to send Valentina home, knowing that she’s a bigger threat to win the crown. Privately to Manila, Gia tearfully confessed to how vulnerable she feels as a trans woman on the show and in the competition. It was a rare sign of emotion from Gia, but actually quite genuine.

9:14 p.m. – Elsewhere, Valentina and Trinity reaffirmed their own friendship and it became clear that Trinity did not want to eliminate her. Trinity is also close with Gia, who she told has her heart in the right place and is accepted by everyone. Manila admitted to Valentina that she’s considering her as an elimination option because of how big of a threat she is and asked Valentina to make a deal with her and promise to not eliminate her in the future. Valentina took it (rightfully) as blackmail and rejected it and threw a challenge of her own back at Manila that she “will” be in the end with her and she can try to beat the best. Go off, sis!

9:24 p.m. – To decide whether Manila or Trinity would make the decision they lip synched for their legacy to Whitney’s “How Will I Know” (shade at Monet’s subpar impersonation?!). Both girls played the song, hitting every note with a perfect sync, but Manila really turned it on with the dance moves and was the judges’ choice as winner. Despite insinuating that Valentina would be her choice to go, Manila took the safer route and eliminated Gia.

NEXT WEEK: The top 7 test their acting in a scripted court room drama and it looks like shade gets thrown between Valentina and Trinity that could change the game for one or both of them.
