Sandra Oh (‘Killing Eve’) Emmy episode revealed for Best Drama Actress (Exclusive)

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Sandra Oh is entering the “Killing Eve” episode “I Have a Thing About Bathrooms” as her Emmy submission for Best Drama Actress. This installment aired May 6 and was the fifth episode of the first season for the BBC America show.

In this segment, MI5 officer Eve Polastri (Oh) is fresh off a terrifying experience with serial killer Villanelle (Jodie Comer). She has taken a mole to a safe house but inadvertently gets him killed when Villanelle breaks into her house to talk with her and takes her phone.

This year marks the sixth career nomination for Oh, with the previous five in the supporting race for “Grey’s Anatomy.” For the 2018 ceremony, she faces off against reigning champ Elisabeth Moss (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) and the previous year’s winner Tatiana Maslany (“Orphan Black”). Returning nominees in this leading category are Claire Foy (“The Crown”), Keri Russell (“The Americans”) and Evan Rachel Wood (“Westworld”).
