SandyRedd’s Ariana Grande cover in ‘The Voice’ knockouts earns Jennifer Hudson’s final save of the season [WATCH]

During Monday’s episode of “The Voice,” Jennifer Hudson paired up Patrique Fortson and SandyRedd in the sixth knockout round of Season 15. Patrique wowed with Aerosmith‘s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” while SandyRedd blew the roof off of Ariana Grande‘s “Dangerous Woman.” Both performances were so impressive that JHud later bragged it was the “knockout of the show.” Watch SandyRedd’s “The Voice” video above and read the coaches’ comments below.

“Patrique, you’re a vocal beast,” Jennifer told the first of her two powerhouses after he received a standing ovation from all four coaches. “SandyRedd, I love that you sell the moment. That’s what your job is as a performer. How do I narrow this down when you’ve got two people that are singing their faces off? I think you both deserve to be here. The winner of this knockout is Patrique.”

As Patrique celebrated, viewers at home knew that something big was about to happen for SandyRedd, as this was the final knockout of the evening. “I so appreciate all of the nourishing moments that I got from you,” SandyRedd told her coach. Jennifer dragged out the drama for a bit, then of course she slammed her hand down on her “Save” button. “That was probably the knockout of the show,” JHud later raved backstage.

In his “The Voice” live blog, our recapper John Benutty had this to say about the knockout: “Patrique was up first with a towering performance that took the song into a whole new stratosphere, but I particularly liked how he brought it all the way down at the end and capped it off in a cute little pocket. SandyRedd also succeeded at taking her song to new heights, injecting this angry rock vibe into it that provided room for her on-stage persona to just, well, explode. She was incredible. Needless to say, the entire panel of coaches was blown away by both of them, making it clear that neither was going to get eliminated.”
