Secret Oscar Ballots: 7 mystery voters reveal their choices in 8 top categories

Throughout the past few days, Gold Derby has been revealing secret Oscar ballots. Below is our recap of these seven mystery voters from the motion picture academy’s acting, writing, executive and public relations branches as they tell you their choices in the top eight categories. We discussed their selections for Best Picture, Best Director, the four acting categories and two screenplay categories as they were voting in February but waited to unveil them to the public after accountants had their final ballots on Tuesday, February 27. Voter #1 is an acting branch member who has been a Screen Actors Guild Awards nominee and has been a star in multiple Best Picture Oscar nominees. The Best Picture choice is “Dunkirk.” Second place is “Get Out.” Third place is “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”

Voter #2 is a member of the Public Relations branch and has been a key campaigner for both Oscars and Emmys throughout a lengthy career. The Best Picture choice is “The Shape of Water.” Second place is “Lady Bird.” Third place is “Three Billboards.”

Voter #3 is a member of the Executives branch and has been in the theatrical and distribution areas for many years. The Best Picture choice is “Lady Bird.” Second place is “The Shape of Water.” Third place is “Call Me By Your Name.”
