‘Sense8’ series finale trailer: Netflix previews the farewell, but fans say, ‘Please let there be another season’ [WATCH]

On May 17 Netflix released an official trailer for the series finale episode of “Sense8,” which will premiere on June 8 on the streaming service. But fans aren’t quite ready to let it go. “You guys are legends,” tweeted Angela Gabriela. “Please let there be another season,” added Daisy. Do you think this special concluding “Sense8” movie will give you closure, or make you miss it even more? Watch the trailer above.

Season two ended on a cliffhanger in the spring of 2017. One of the eight telepathically linked sensates, Wolfgang (Max Riemelt), was discovered and kidnapped by Whispers (Terrence Mann), who works for an organization working to neutralize all sensates. But the other seven members in Wolfgang’s psychic friends network all convened in London to rescue him and defeat the evil organization.

But viewers almost didn’t get a chance at all to find out what happens next. Netflix cancelled “Sense8” after its second season, prompting an outcry from devoted fans who wanted more of this ethnically, culturally, geographically, and sexually diverse story. That prompted Netflix to reverse its decision — at least a little bit. Though they didn’t green-light a whole new season, they did decide to give the show a special two-hour movie to wrap up its storylines. So “Sense8” tweeted back to its fans, “No, YOU guys are the real legends for helping bring this finale to life!”

Check out a few of the Twitter comments from fans below. Do you agree with them that “Sense8” deserves to continue its run instead of concluding this summer?
