Monday night on “The Voice,” Sharane Calister represented Team Adam Levine during the live Top 24 episode of Season 14. Sharane belted out Loren Allred‘s “Never Enough” from “The Greatest Showman” and was immediately voted through to the Top 12 based on America’s live results. Sharane’s fellow teammates (Drew Cole, Mia Boostrom, Jackie Verna, Rayshun LaMarr and Reid Umstattd) will get another shot to advance to the finals when they perform on Wednesday’s live episode. “I’m just so proud of you guys,” Adam told his team before host Carson Daly made the announcement that Sharane earned America’s vote. “This is a really tough thing. This is when it gets really, really difficult. We had a great time rehearsing the other day. It’s impossible to judge talent. It’s not really a thing that I’m personally capable of at this point or anyone really should be capable of. It’s beautiful and it’s something that we love and we’re passionate about and we all do it and love it together. That’s what’s so beautiful about the show.”
Adam continued, “Honestly, I have no idea what’s about to happen. But honestly in a certain way it doesn’t matter, because you all impressed everyone on this panel tonight.” After Sharane received the good news she raced across the stage to hug Adam, who proudly congratulated her.
In his recap of “The Voice,” our live-blogger John Benutty wrote, “Sharane made a really smart choice to go full ballad and give a gorgeous performance standing in the same spot the entire time and letting her voice soar through the room. It was a little shaky at times, but that doesn’t matter when you deliver a powerhouse vocal that gets all the coaches on their feet!”
