Last week’s double elimination on “So You Think You Can Dance” seemed to be a relatively easy choice for the judges. Magda Fialek and Chelsea Hough were the bottom two women when viewer votes were counted up, and Cole Mills and Evan DeBenedetto were the bottom two men. The judges had been disappointed by Hough and DeBenedetto for what they felt was a lack of chemistry and for Hough’s lack of tap skills, so the judges decided to send them home and save Fialek and Mills. But will they be spared again tonight?
Our users who have made their predictions thus far are betting on Fialek to be sent home with leading odds of 8/11, which translates to a 57.25% chance of going home. The judges have had nothing but praise for her during the live shows thus far, but the same is true for the other three remaining women, Jensen Arnold, Genessy Castillo and Hannahlei Cabanilla. So if it comes down to a choice between Fialek and one of those other women, there’s no telling who the judges might spare and who they’d get rid of.
Mills ranks second with 10/3 odds, which translates to a 23.45% chance of elimination. After the first live show of the season our users thought he was the early favorite to win the competition, but the second live show didn’t go so well for him. The judges were disappointed by his stepping routine — they loved his partner Cabanilla, but thought he didn’t execute the dance style nearly as well as she did. Then at the end of the show he was announced as one of the bottom two male dancers with DeBenedetto.
Given the judges’ effusive praise for the other three men in the competition, Jay Jay Dixonbey, Darius Hickman and Slavik Pustovoytov, Mills will have to dance like his life depends on it tonight, because it just might if the judges have to make a choice between him and one of his male rivals.
