What is the Song of the Summer for 2018? [POLL]

What is the song of the summer? Some years that’s an easy question to answer, as it was in 2017 when “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee featuring Justin Bieber was number-one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for a record-tying 16 weeks during the warmer months. But this year it may be more open to interpretation. Vote in our poll below to let us know which song you think deserves the title.

Billboard has been measuring the songs of the summer using the same metrics as the Hot 100: a combination of radio airplay, sales, and streaming figures. By their estimation, “Nice for What” by Drake is the song to beat. The single was released in April, at which point it immediately debuted at number-one. It has moved in and out of the top spot in the weeks since, but it has accumulated a total of eight weeks in the lead position, including this past week on the July 14 chart when it returned to the summit for the third time.

Two of the songs that interrupted “Nice for What’s” number-one run follow close behind in Billboard’s current summer rankings. “I Like It” by Cardi B featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin is number-two on the Songs of the Summer chart. It just reached number-one on the Hot 100 dated July 7. And “Psycho” by Post Malone featuring Ty Dolla $ign finally came out on top on June 16 after it was released way back in February; now it’s number-three on the Songs of the Summer chart.

But which song do you think deserves to be known as 2018’s song of the summer? Vote now in our poll below with all of the songs currently in Billboard’s top 10.
