The Maolo tribe is coming off wins over the Naviti tribe in both the Reward and Immunity challenges on “Only Time Will Tell,” the March 7 episode of “Survivor: Ghost Island.” Heading into a second week of starvation mode, there are bound to be shifts in the strengths and weaknesses of the two rival camps. For a sneak peek at episode four, “Trust Your Gut,” which airs on March 14, click through the photos above.
After the swap in episode three, the Naviti tribe is comprised of five original members — Domenick Abbate, Wendell Holland, Chris Noble and Angela Perkins — and four Malolo players: Donathan Hurley, Laurel Johnson, James Lim and Libby Vincek.
The Malolo tribe still has Jenna Bowman, Stephanie Johnson, Brendan Shapiro and Michael Yerger. They were joined by one-time Naviti tribe members Desiree Afuye, Kellyn Bechtold, Bradley Kleihege, Sebastian Noel and Chelsea Townsend.
Jeff Probst oversees the Reward Challenge on episode four that sends tribes into the water. The members of each these newly-formed tribes, who were recently rivals, must now work together against the other tribe in a tug-of-war in the waves. But rather than a rope, they must pull a life preserver to their respective tribal flag.
It looks like Maolo wins this Reward Challenge and we also expect them to take the Immunity Challenge. That one also sends the members of the tribe into the water. This time they must retrieve a large chest from inside a wooden cage and bring it back to shore where it gets placed on a track. At that point, they must attached it to a rope and maneuver it down the track to the finish line.
