If you’re a fan of “Survivor” eating challenges, then Wednesday’s all-new episode is sure to whet your appetite. CBS’s preview trailer for Season 36, Episode 9 (watch above) teases that the castaways will be chowing down a whole host of tantalizing treats, from eyeballs to grub worms. “To win in ‘Survivor’ you have to keep your eyes on the prize,” declares the video as we see the “Ghost Island” castaways gagging on their disgusting delicacies. Find out who wins this eating challenge when the episode airs Wednesday, April 18.
Now that the Domenick Abbate and Chris Noble feud has been neutralized (listen to our exit interview with Chris), who is the likeliest person to get the boot next? While Domenick is an obvious target — he’s holding onto a real immunity idol as well as a fake one — our readers are also setting their sights on Libby Vincek. With 9/10 odds, Libby leads our predictions for who will be eliminated in this week’s episode, titled “The Sea Slug Slugger.”
Libby is one of the strongest strategic threats in the game and, as our live-blogger John Benutty has noted, she’s “been on the radar of a handful of other players in recent episodes. A few weeks ago she was favorably compared to ‘Micronesia’ winner and ‘Heroes vs. Villains’ runner-up and legit legend Parvati Shallow because of her persuasively (whether intentional or not) flirtatious ways.”
Following Libby on our elimination chart, Angela Perkins is in second place to head home with 7/2 odds, followed by Domenick in third at 8/1 odds, Desiree Afuye in fourth at 12/1 odds and Sebastian Noel in fifth at 28/1 odds. See more “Survivor” odds and rankings for Episode 9.
As for who might win Season 36 of “Survivor,” our readers are banking on Wendell Holland with leading 5/4 odds. Kellyn Bechtold comes in second place at 4/1 odds, with Laurel Johnson rounding out the Top 3 with odds of 5/1. Kellyn and Laurel have both received strong “winner’s edits” this season, meaning the producers are editing their stories to be more heroic or favorable than their counterparts.
