Ted Danson (‘The Good Place’) Emmy episode revealed for Best Comedy Actor (Exclusive)

Gold Derby can exclusively reveal that Ted Danson is entering “The Good Place” episode “Dance Dance Resolution” as his Emmy submission for Best Comedy Actor. This installment aired September 20 and was the second episode of the second season for the NBC show.

In this segment, Michael (Danson) gives a pep talk to himself and then tries to restart his “Good Place” scenario trying to trick Eleanor (Kristen Bell) and her friends. It’s then reboot after reboot as the group continues to figure out his devious plan. Growing even more desperate, he even proposes an alliance with them so he isn’t doomed with his boss.

Danson is a two-time champion in this same category for “Cheers” (1990, 1993) with this year marking his 16th career nomination. For the 2018 ceremony, he faces off with last year’s winner Donald Glover (“Atlanta”), previous winners Larry David (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”), Bill Hader (“Barry”) and William H. Macy (“Shameless”), plus past nominee Anthony Anderson (“Black-ish”).
