7:59 p.m. – “Previously, on ‘The Amazing Race’!” In last week’s double episode two teams were eliminated: Cedric and Shawn (Team Slam Dunk) and Joey and Tim (Team Chomp). Only these seven teams are left: “Big Brother” lovebirds Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf, Indy car drivers Alexander Rossi and Conor Daly, lifeguards Lucas Bocanegra and Brittany Austin, classical musicians Trevor Wadleigh and Chris Marchant, X-Games athletes Kristi Leskinen and Jen Hudak, dating debators Henry Zhang and Evan Lynyak, and firefighting twins Eric Guiffreda and Daniel Guiffreda. Who will be sent home tonight?
8:05 p.m. – As the winners of the last race, Lucas and Brittany were the first team to book their flight to Prague. The teams were warned there is a Double U-Turn ahead. Team Ocean Rescue, Team Extreme, Team Yale and The Firefighters were on the first flight. They arrived one hour earlier than the second flight which included Team Big Brother, Team IndyCar and Team Well Strung.
8:15 p.m. – Upon arriving in Prague, the first four times hopped into taxis and raced toward their next clue. None of the teams chose to use the U-Turn. At the Detour, teams had to choose “this” or “that,” with no explanation of what that meant. Tricky! One option turned out include re-stacking kegs, finding a full one and pouring a perfect mug. They will then have to deliver their keg to a party boat to receive their next clue. The other challenge included listening to two astronomical lectures and passing an oral exam to receive their next clue. That may sound easy, but the details were extremely complex. Lucas and Brittany listened to just a few minutes of the lecture before bolting to the other Detour.
8:35 p.m. – Team IndyCar were the first team from flight two to reach the U-Turn and chose not to use it. Jessica and Cody were next and did not want to take any chances so they U-Turned Trevor and Chris. Team Well Strung will now have to complete both sides of the Detour. The Firefighters were the first to complete the Detour by passing the astronomy exam. Team Extreme were the next to finish, but passed Eric and Daniel by beating them to the next clue. Team Extreme arrived at the Road Block: the legendary, brain-scrambling task of answering hundreds of telephones and trying to unscramble a secret code. It looks maddening!
8:50 p.m. – Team Extreme were the first to complete the mind-boggling phone challenge and reach the pit stop! Kristi and Jen are on a roll! They won a trip to Perth, Australia for their efforts. The Firefighters came in second place and Team Yale followed right behind. Back at the Road Block, Team Ocean Rescue and Team IndyCar are feeling salty towards Jessica for not helping them with the answers and, in fact, telling them incorrect ones. I have to side with Jessica here, this is a race for a million dollars!
8:59 p.m. – Team Well Strung are running on foot to the pit stop while Cody and Jessica ride in a taxi. Each team appears lost, but which one is correct? Team IndyCar and Team Ocean Rescue finished the race next. After losing their way, Team Big Brother did finish the race in sixth place. Trevor and Chris were eliminated from the race.
