The first trailer for the second season of “The Good Fight” is here — and it’s insane. At least that’s the word Diane (Christine Baranski) uses to describe her new world order: “I don’t know what’s going on in the world anymore. Not just bad. It’s insane.” Watch the uncensored trailer above.
The pulsing trailer teases the firm’s new partner and Adrian’s (Delroy Lindo) ex-wife Liz Reddick-Lawrence (Audra McDonald), with whom Diane will go toe-to-toe; Howard Lyman (Jerry Adler) as a judge (!); Maya’s (Rose Leslie) dad Henry (Paul Guilfoyle) still in the wind; and a copycat killer going around town murdering lawyers. The lawyer killer has everyone so spooked that guest star Rob Reiner, playing a judge, dropping a case file on the floor makes every legal eagle in a courthouse duck for cover.
“You think you all have targets on your backs,” he says.
And it’s not complete without a trademark Robert and Michelle King inside joke: Diane drops another F-bomb because she’s “making up for lost time.”
“The Good Fight” received three Critics’ Choice Awards nominations for its first season for Baranski, who earned six Emmy nominations for playing Diane on “The Good Wife,” Lindo and Cush Jumbo. The second season, which will consist of 13 episodes instead of 10, premieres Sunday, March 4 on CBS All Access.
