While Adam Levine has been with the “The Voice” since it began in 2011, he has won only three of the previous 13 seasons (his long-time rival, Blake Shelton has six victories). According to our readers, that elusive fourth win is likely to elude Levine in the current season 14. They think that he and Shelton have far weaker teams than returning coach Alicia Keys and rookie Kelly Clarkson heading into the knockout round, which kicks off on April 2.
Levine’s eight artists earned a combined 13 chair turns during the blind auditions. He chose six of these during the blind auditions while the other two were steals from coaches who went with the competing artists in the battle round.
Levine paired up his original dozen artists against each other in six battles. The winners of these match-ups — Mia Boostrom, Drew Cole, Gary Edwards, Rayshun LaMarr, Reid Umstattd and Jackie Verna — move on to the knockout round. He used one steal to throw Jackie Foster a lifeline after Kelly Clarkson opted to keep D.R. King following their duet on “Sign of the Times.” And he picked up Team Alicia Keys artist Jordyn Simone after she lost to Kelsea Johnson when they did battle on “Don’t Let Go (Love).
We have compiled a power ranking of the contestants now on Team Adam Levine. These would-be winners are listed from best to worst based on their reception in the blind auditions and battles, the resulting sales of their tracks on iTunes and the votes of viewers like you.
Take a look at detailed bios of each of them in the photo gallery above and then read a the recap of each of the songs that got them to this stage of the competition below.
