‘The Voice’: Team Alicia Keys power rankings best to worst at midpoint of season 14 battle round

In her third stint as a coach on “The Voice,” Alicia Keys is proving to be a fierce competitor. She put together a far stronger team than the other three mentors (rookie Kelly Clarkson and veterans Adam Levine and Blake Shelton). The 12 artists that she brought into the battle round earned a whopping 29 chair turns during the blind auditions.

We are now halfway through this second stage of the competition. Keys has pitted eight of her dozen artists against each other in battles on March 19 and 20. The four winners — Johnny Bliss, Sharane Calister, Christiana Danielle and Kelsea Johnson — move on to the knockout round. Three of the four losers — Jamai, Shana Halligan and Megan Lee — saw their time on “The Voice” come to an end. The other artist who went down to defeat – Jordyn Simone – was thrown a rescue line by Levine.

Keys has yet to use her steals but will do so the two remaining battles on March 26 and 27. And she will have to winnow her other four artists – Britton Buchanan, Terrence Cunningham, Livia Faith and Jaclyn Lovey — down during those shows as well.

We have compiled a power ranking of the eight artists still on Team Alicia Keys. These would-be winners are listed from best to worst based on their reception in the blind auditions and battles, the resulting sales of their tracks on iTunes and the votes of viewers like you. If you haven’t voted in our poll yet, be sure to do so at the bottom of this post and then sound off in the comments section about both Keys and her team. (Vote in the polls on Team Kelly Clarkson, Team Adam Levine and Team Blake Shelton too.)

Keys won season 12 in the spring of 2017 when she mentored Chris Blue. In her first stint as a coach in season 11, her artist We McDonald managed a third-place finish behind the winner Sundance Head from Team Blake Shelton and Adam Levine’s runner-up Billy Gilman.
